Selected Works: Group Show - Brussels
The Charles Riva Collection is proud to inaugurate its new exhibition space in the heart of Brussels, a magnificent townhouse that provides a refined and intimate setting for showcasing the collection's most iconic works. This inaugural presentation places a special spotlight on American artist Christopher Wool.
As visitors enter, they are welcomed by a powerful dialogue between disciplines: a bench by Jenny Holzer, engraved with one of her signature truisms, faces a raw, tactile painting by Alberto Burri. This juxtaposition sets the tone for a presentation that embraces tension, contrast, and material exploration.
The exhibition brings together a selection of influential contemporary and post-war artists, including: Alighiero Boetti, George Condo, Cécile Defforey, Lucio Fontana, Jenny Holzer, Mike Kelley, Robert Mapplethorpe, Richard Prince, Daniel Richter, and of course, Christopher Wool.
With this new venue, the Charles Riva Collection reaffirms its commitment to fostering dialogue between major international artists and offering the public an opportunity to experience contemporary art in a uniquely personal and architecturally rich environment.
