Post-conceptual artist Kelley Walker examines the circulation and consumption of visual culture using techniques of collage, screen-printing, sculpture, and installation. His work has been the subject of numerous one-person exhibitions both within the U.S. and abroad, including a museum retrospective at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis in 2016. Other important one-person exhibitions have taken place at Le Magasin – Centre National d’art Contemporain, Grenoble, which traveled to the Wiels Contemporary Art Center, Brussels (2007); MAMCO, Musée d’art moderne et contemporain, Geneva (2017); and Le Mur Consortium in Paris (2017). In 2013, Kunsthaus Bregenz in Austria organized Wade Guyton, Guyton\Walker, Kelley Walker, the first joint presentation of the artists alongside their collaborative identity. Walker has participated in many notable group exhibitions including Painting 2.0: Expression in the Information Age at the Museum Brandhorst, Munich (2015); Regarding Warhol: Fifty Artist, Fifty Years at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (2012); Here is Every. Four Decades of Contemporary Art at The Museum of Modern Art, New York (2008); Continuous Project at Modern Art Oxford, United Kingdom (2007); Whitney Biennial 2006; 7th Annual Sharjah Biennial (2005); and Greater New York 2005 at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, New York. His work has been acquired by the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; Tate Modern, London; Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo; the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston; Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh; and Sammlung Goetz, Munich.
